Welcome! My name is Marta Leskiv and I am a Registered Psychotherapist with a private practice in Toronto

Seeking therapy is a courageous and admirable step towards personal growth. I use a variety of techniques from my years of clinical experience to get to the root of the issues that may be affecting your well-being. Whether the problem feels small or big, old or new; I am open to bringing it into the room for closer observation and deeper discovery. Everyone has the capacity to change their lives. I recognize that we are each more than just our family, our relationships, our biology, or our circumstances, but also understand that our connection to each of these may profoundly impact our sense of wellbeing.

Change can be scary, however, growth lies in discomfort. I will accompany you on the journey towards healing and evolvement. Together, we will break through barriers and uncover meaningful and lasting change for a more fulfilling and authentic life. We will collaborate to uncover issues, experiences, and behaviours that have led to distress, feelings of being ‘stuck’, and difficulties working through transitions. Whether your goal is to make positive changes in your life or to have a deeper understanding of self, together, we can create a safe and non-judgmental environment to help improve your life in significant ways. 

While I work with clients with a breadth of presenting issues, I do specialize in working with individuals presenting with addiction, depression, anxiety, relational issues and low self-esteem. I utilize a holistic and integrative approach that uniquely combines a variety of therapeutic treatments based on your goals and believe your treatment should be tailored to meet your individual needs. Modalities include CBT, DBT, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, and Mindfulness. I believe that developing self-awareness, self-acceptance, and living mindfully will contribute to healthy relationships with yourself and others, and will help ease navigation of life’s challenging events that arise.

My style is supportive, compassionate, and curious, giving us the space to inquire together and explore your unique experiences, past and present, paving the way for a more grounded future. Above all, I believe that connections heal and that you feeling seen, heard and understood as much as possible in a therapeutic relationship is paramount.
